Ok.. review time!

Love these Aldo designer-a-like studded heels! So worth the £90 price tag!!

So recently ive been a bad blogger and havent been posting outfits or well.. anything really! so im having a review of things.. i dont want to stop my blog, so ive decided that i shall save up all my fashion thoughts and i shall write one big blog on weekends, i shall post a few outfit pics from the week and a few clippings of fashion stories which have caught my eye and pieces i am loving! along with a little insight into my weird and wonderful world!

Kind of like a mini magazine?!

Embelish Me!

Embelishment is one of my favourite trends, i love when you pick up a piece and it weighs you down in all its sequined studded delights!

At the moment i am LOVING cropped embellished jackets or trophy jackets as Topshop is rightfully labeling them!... the more colourful the better!!

With pieces like these, you can throw on the simplist of outfits, and let the sparkles do the talking! Of course you dont need to go mad and a simple scarf like the one below from Monsoon, or a few details like on this lipsy dress are enough to bring you bang into A/W 09!

At the moment i am interning at Monsoon HQ, and i have never noticed how many AMAZING pieces they have! Ive always loved Accessorize but no matter your age you should definatley be checking out the dresses at Monsoon, the party season has never looked so good!

The Monsoon Fusion line is definatley one to watch!

I will be trying my best to keep up the blogging despite the CRAZINESS of the next few months! And will attempt to slip in a few outfit posts! Unfortunately i forgot to charge my camera before Leeds Festival and so missed out on getting some fab authentic festival outfit pics!!!

Leeds Fest, Busy Busy, Essays, Busy Busy, Fashion PR...Busy.. but i love it!

Apologise for lack of posts this weekend, however i have been super duper busy! i have three re-sits to be in on Wednesday, and on top of that suffered some man troubles last week as you may have guessed from some of my posts!

Ive also been on a trip to London for drink times with my bestest bud! any who i have Leeds fest this weekend, so i will not be posting until i return, and will do a major pic fest of outfits and randomness that i think you may like from one of the greatest festivals of the year!!

After all this I'm off to London to do Fashion PR work experience at a very well known high street retailer! and then I'm back to uni!

but as soon as Leeds is done i will be back to regular posts!

Man De-cluttering

Have you ever been really drunk, i mean really really drunk, gotten a little emotional.. browsed your phone for your very own man trash.. and made the HUUUOOOWWWWGGGEEE mistake of texting an ex. Only to awake in the morning and think... SHIIITTT! Then comes the cringeworthy moment where you re-read your slurring (and i mean seriously slurred if like me you own an iphone!) plees for a second chance.

NIGHTMARE

So how to avoid this.. 2 categories: Pure man trash and Potential non-trash

• Pure man trash.. DELETE
• Potential non-trash (and this is a tip i got from one of my best gal-pals).. write the number on a piece of paper, put it in the back of a photo frame, and erase from your portable self-destruct button... your phone!

why pick the safe option..??

Due to life dramas, i always wonder why some people always play it safe? The same styles of clothes, the same drinks at the bar, the same food at a restaurant. I always think its more fun to take a risk.

one example is with guys.. why do guys play it safe. Ok they like us 'risk' girls for dating and casual fun, but when it comes to the serious stuff most just seem to chicken out and then your left heart broken, while some simpleton gets your guy.

And clothes.. well the plain jane in the corner will always remain that. Life is more fun when you take risks.. So bite the bullet!

Coco...

So yesterday i saw coco before chanel.. amazing film! although i should warn you it is in french with english subtitles!

Only after understanding the story behind Gabrielle 'Coco' Chanel, can you really get her style and inspiration for her look. She hated the over ellaborate dresses which most of the aristocracy in france wore, and opted for simplicity.

The infamous Chanel stripes being inspired by fishermen she saw on a trip to the beach with her lover, English Coal magnate 'Boy' who initially funded her hat shop in Paris.

However if it were not forher misfortune in the entertainment industry, Coco Chanel would be remembered as a 20s frech singer, rather than the woman behind the brand we all know and love today.

I have my best friends 21st on friday and two outfit choices... both which i like but i know would look a million times better if i magically lost a stone or two overnight!!
